Jamboree arrangements gather pace, with a little over four months before it begins.
The ACT Contingent – troops, etc
The ACT Contingent comprises eleven troops, including a number of patrols from the NT and NZ, plus a group of activity and service leaders, some Venturers and Rovers, and a Contingent team. All together over 440 people, a wonderful effort.
ACT Jamboree troops have been established and all have begun the process of developing a ready to go Jamboree troop. Most have now had a get together, are considering patrol structures, gathering troop equipment, and understanding their young people’s specific needs.
All adults attending recently participated in a briefing and information day, and a youth leadership development day, by invitation, is on Sunday 20 September. Other specialised teams of the Jamboree have begun to contact service and activity leaders, while others from the ACT are organising one of the sub camps of the Jamboree.
